Looking for summer activities for kids under the age of 7? We offer riding lessons in our Little’s Lessons and Beginner Riding Program and a monthly Pony Club type class that is open to all ages if you are actively enrolled within our lesson program.
Beginner Camp
June 23rd through June 27th, 2025
Recommended for ages 7-12. Beginner camp is appropriate for students working on the trot and canter.
Our beginner horse camp is an immersive experience for beginner riders. During the camp day, riders spend time expanding their skills handling their horse on the ground and in the saddle. We play many horse-related games both on and off horseback to reinforce learning in this action-packed camp.

Beginner camp is from 9:00am until 1:00pm, Monday through Friday. Please arrive at the stables 15 minutes prior to our 9:00am start time to check in.
What it Cost: rate for the week is $1,000. This includes the use of of our school horse or daily stabling if you choose to bring your own horse.
What to Bring: your own helmet, a snack or a small lunch, and a water bottle
What to Wear: long pants, boots with a one-inch heel, and don’t forget the sunscreen!
The Four Winds does not provide helmets. Riding helmets may be purchased locally at the Happy Horse Tack Shop, or bike helmets can be worn. A helmet is required at all times while mounted; kids must bring their own helmet.
What We Provide: School horses and their tack, craft and art supplies, knowledgeable, enthusiastic instruction, and immersive hands-on learning at the barn.
Advanced Camp
July 14th through 18th, 2025
Recommended for ages 11-16. Advanced camp is appropriate for riders who can, at a minimum, canter crossrail courses.
Our advanced horse camp is a special experience for kids and teens ready to take the next step in their riding. This camp covers advanced horsemanship and riding and is designed to prepare campers for all things related to horse leasing and ownership, traveling to competitions, and more!
To sign up for advanced camp, riders must be currently taking regular riding lessons. School horses are available, and stalls can be reserved to bring your own horse.
Advanced camp is from 9:00am until 1:00pm, Monday through Friday. Please arrive at the stables 15 minutes prior to our 9:00am start time to check in.
What it Cost: rate for the week is $1,000 with the use of a school horse, or $750 if you are using your own horse and currently board with us.
What to Bring: a snack or small lunch, a water bottle, and your winning personality.
